The Energy CoP brings together forestry professionals, engineering professionals, rural economic development practitioners, conservation groups, and renewable energy groups in an effort to deliver science-based peer-reviewed extension education materials related to the subject of forest-based bioenergy. Our mission is to: assess the current state of the industry; assist with the complex dissemination of forest-based bioenergy and bio-products information; create and maintain the primary system that will continuously track new advancements and information; support the needs of individual producers and users as well as local, state, regional and national resource planning professionals; and continuously improve the CoP.
